Mental Health Services for Adults

Mental health counseling services are provided by master’s level clinicians who will assess individual needs and work with clients to develop an individualized treatment program that may include individual, family, and group treatment.  Research demonstrates that participation in a group treatment program is more effective that individual treatment alone.

Case Management Services
Our Case Managers work with individuals and families to plan for, identify and obtain services and supports. Case Managers also monitor service delivery, advocate on behalf of individuals, assist with referral to other resources, coordinate between the many different service systems, investigate allegations of abuse and provide protective services.

Early Assessment and Support Alliance (EASA)—Ages 15 to 25 years
The purpose of EASA is to identify teens and young adults with symptoms of psychosis as early as possible, and to provide the most effective support and treatment so they can be successful. EASA offers outreach and specialized assessment, educational seminars, written material, consultation and problem solving. EASA also offers treatment and support from a team including a doctor, a nurse, mental health professionals, occupational therapist and school/work specialist with individual and family group therapy. For more information, please see our brochure and the program website.

Medication Management
We have 3 psychiatrists that provide consultation when indicated to help reduce psychiatric symptoms and improve functioning. Our nurse can assist in monitoring, teaching and dispensing medications.

Enhanced Care Services (ECS)
Our Adult Residential Program at the Hood River Care Center includes individual therapy, activity therapy, rehabilitation and skills training are provided.  Therapeutic activities are designed to improve social functioning and promote community integration. Clients are referred by the State or other ECS programs.

Supported Employment
Services include training and assessment, applicant screening, job development/placement, and job coaching at no cost to the employer or potential employee. You must be enrolled in mental health services to participate in this program

Community Support Services
The Consumer Drop-In Center (The Cottage) is a consumer-run and peer-supported program that offers skill building activities and social networking for adults.  The program offers a wide range of experiences including fundraising for activities and trips chosen by the membership.

Peer-to-Peer—Ages 18 to 24 years
Transition-age youth and young adults are offered supports to achieve their life goals such as education, jobs, or building satisfying relationships. Recovery in Peer Support comes through “seeing ourselves as human beings, the same as anyone else, rather than as mental patients.  We begin to do this by practicing relationships in Peer Support in a different way.”
